Once we receive your registration we will email you with the application form where you will provide your short bio, sample of photos and photography project idea.
A photography project is a set of images arranged to tell a story. A project can be very personal. The stories they tell often include a deeper meaning which reveals the photographer’s passions, emotions and interests.
A photography project is different from, simply, taking photographs because it allows us to build a body of work that focuses on a key theme, style or idea.
For 2025/2026 we have 10 grants available, each offering a $USD6,000. Please view the grant page for details on grants availability and steps on how to apply.
After you have registered and completed your application, the international jury members will view all proposed photography projects submitted.
After the final selection, 10 photography projects will be selected.
After the selection, the photographers will have more time to complete their project until final submission.
After the international jury members make the final selection, we will contact each photographer via email.
We will also make a public announcement in our instagram account.
The Water for Life Photography Grant is dedicated to documentary photographers around the world to illuminate one of the most pressing humanitarian challenges of our time — the global lack of safe, clean, and accessible water.
